The Austin McGuire Company, a Norwalk based commercial real estate valuation practice (see www.austinmcguire.com), has openings for a qualified real estate appraisers to replace exiting appraisers leaving due to relocation/retirement.

Available Position Open
Commercial real estate appraisers:  For simple to moderately complex commercial properties and assist with senior appraisal staff on large portfolio valuations.  A minimum of 2 years of experience, provisional appraisal license and strong WORD/ EXCEL skills are a must.  Experience with ARGUS is a plus.  This is a W2 position with compensation based on fee splits.  We offer comprehensive training and a wonderful work environment.

Immediate Position Opening
Commercial Real Estate Analyst – Austin McGuire Company (“AMC”) is a real estate appraisal and consulting firm seeking dedicated individual interested in learning the “nuts and bolts” of commercial real estate.  Ideal starting position for a commercial real estate career in development, lending, finance, consulting, or ownership. Part time work may qualify for college credit hours (i.e., UCONN).  Ideal job to for a residential appraiser to make the jump to commercial appraisal.
Job Description - Assist principals in the development of commercial real estate appraisal engagements for all types of commercial real estate both in the tri-state area and nationally.  
•    Writing quarterly economic updates
•    Assistance with preparation of written commercial appraisal reports
•    Tasks related to management of an office building.
•    Administrative tasks related to leasing and dealing with maintenance contractors.
•    On-line media posting and Google optimization assistance.

Requirements - Good analytical, computer (EXCEL and WORD) and writing skills required.   A real interest in the world of commercial real estate. Fluency with on-line media posting (Facebook and Instagram) and Google optimization a plus.  
Commitment – Internship program is 24 months with part time work during the Fall and Spring semesters, and increased hours during the summer months, up to 30 hour per week, depending upon work level.   
This is an excellent way to achieve a provisional commercial appraisal license which is a great foundation for a career in real estate.
